Community Guidelines

Our Code of Conduct and your pledge to be an upstanding
member of the Godterest community.

As representatives of Christ on Earth, we expect our members to conduct themselves in a manner pleasing to the Lord. We strive to maintain a community with love and respect at its core, in keeping with the principles of our faith. We hope that our members will put the other first and treat others as they want to be treated.

Put the Lord first in all your conversations and interactions

The Bible is our guide in all we do as believers, and it has stated exactly how we are to behave:

  • “Whether, then, you eat or drink or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” (1 Corinthians 10:31)

 

  • “For you have been bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body.”(1 Corinthians 6:20)

 

  • “Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:1-2)

 

The guidelines listed below exist to ensure a Christ-centered and safe community. Violations may result in appropriate action, including content removal, suspensions, or permanent bans. Continued violations or severe infractions may lead to legal action. By using Godterest, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these rules. Thank you for helping us maintain a safe, respectful, trustworthy, and Christ-centered community! Please read and adhere to our Community Guidelines below. Report any conduct that violates any of these Guidelines.

 

The Godterest Community Guidelines

  • Respect Others

Godterest is a Christian platform, and users are expected to uphold Christlike love and respect. Coercion, pressured communication, hate speech, bullying, or harassment is not tolerated.

Examples of violations:

  • Using slurs, insults, profane language (through words or emoticons), or degrading comments.
  • Mocking someone’s background, beliefs, experiences, or values.
  • Ignoring requests to stop messaging another user.

 

  • No Misrepresentation

Users must provide truthful information about themselves. Misrepresentation including false photos, marital status, gender, age, or religious beliefs, is prohibited.

Examples of violations:

  • Pretending to be someone else or using heavily edited images.
  • Falsifying age, relationship status, or intentions.
  • Creating multiple accounts to deceive others.

 

  • No Solicitation

Godterest exists to find God-honoring relationships, not for business or financial gain. Romantic scams and people asking for monetary donations or gifts is prohibited.

Examples of violations:

  • Requesting financial help from other users.
  • Promoting businesses, products, or multi-level marketing offers.
  • Using the platform for personal or business fundraising purposes.

 

  • No Explicit, Violent, Illegal, or Sexual Content

Any content, images, or messages that include nudity, sexual advances, human trafficking, use of illicit substances, violence, or suggestive themes will be removed, and offenders may be permanently banned.

Examples of violations:

  • Posting images containing human trafficking, nudity, sexually suggestive material, or attire.
  • Sending messages that contain explicit or sexually suggestive content.
  • Uploading content that promotes illegal activities or violence.

 

  • Protect Your Privacy

Users must protect their personal information and not share sensitive details with others. Keep conversations on the platform until trust is established. Godterest is not responsible for interactions that occur outside the platform.

Examples of violations:

  • Sharing home or work addresses, banking information, or Godterest login credentials.
  • Public display of email, phone number, or social media handles.
  • Sharing government issued identification (SSN, driver’s license, etc.)
  • Pressuring other users for private details.

 

  • Adults Only

Godterest is for adults 18 and older. Any accounts or photos of minors (even if they are your children) will be removed.

Examples of violations:

  • A minor falsifying their birthdate to gain access.
  • An adult creating an account on behalf of a minor.
  • Any exploitation or photos of minors.

How Reports Are Handled

We have outlined our Community Guidelines to ensure you and other members have an amazing and safe experience while using the App. When any bad behavior or conduct is detected or reported, an investigation is carried out, and we reserve the right to warn, suspend or permanently ban the account of such member.
